Strength In Our Weakness
Share
Today's Bible Study blog is on 2 Corinthians 12:9. In chapter 12 Paul is speaking to the church in Corinth and and to all of His holy people throughout Greece. As I read over Paul's words I see where Paul, a man, who just had an experience in being called into Paradise as the NLT puts it in verse four, abstaining from prideful boasting from this experience to show the people of Corinth and us today that our lives are not our own. As Christians, our lives are to destined to bring glory and honor to God through righteous living and guidance from the Holy Spirit to stay in-tune with God's heart for us. The power of Christ works through our weaknesses which is great because we cannot boast in our own strengths but Christ's strength in us.
As always, remember, that I love you and I am praying over you!
Today's Bible Study
2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)
But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.
God's Love and Guidance:
God’s love is revealed in His grace. He doesn’t expect us to be perfect but meets us in our frailty. By admitting our weaknesses, we open the door for His power to work in and through us. His sufficiency reminds us that we are never alone in our struggles.
Application to Daily Life:
Instead of striving for perfection, embrace God’s grace. Acknowledge your limitations and ask for His strength. Practice humility by sharing your struggles with trusted friends or mentors who can support you in prayer. Let your weaknesses become testimonies of His power, encouraging others to trust in Him.
